STRENGTHS:
Isaiah Rider was a solid wing scorer with a relatively short career. He averaged 19 PPG, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 3 seasons with Minnesota to begin his career. He was an acceptable shooting from range (35%) and good from the stripe (81%). He was a solid passer for a 2 guard and defensive rebounder. He had a very good mid range game shooting 44% from 16-23 feet, but those are not the most efficient shots. He is a high flier and won a dunk contest.
WEAKNESSES:
I pulled up a nice "All Overrated" Team article with Isaiah Rider mentioned. They mentioned he was turnover prone (I agree), poor rebounding (mainly on offensive end), and passing (he was decent there, but not good), as well as defense. I do agree that Rider was a minus defensive player for his career, capable of generating a few steals here and there but more disinterested on that end usually.
SIGNIFICANT INFO:
1x AP All American (2nd), 2x NBA All Rookie (1st)
