STRENGTHS:
Joe Smith had a solid career but did not live up to the hype of his #1 pick selection. He averaged 11 ppg and 6.4 rpg in 25 mpg during his long career. He was a solid offensive rebounder but only okay on the defensive glass. He came in polished averaging 15 ppg and nearly 9 rebounds. He was more of a finesse big man who had a solid mid range game but didn't have the size to bang inside, and his career FG% was consistently under 50% despite not shooting any 3s really. He was a good FT shooter too, at 79%. He had a good handle and didn't turn the ball over that much. Decent man to man defender.
WEAKNESSES:
Not a good offensive option in the post. Poor passer. Didn't generate a lot of steals. He could generate around a block as a starter, but not much more per game. Not an efficient shooter overall. Lacked strength for a big man.
SIGNIFICANT INFO:
