STRENGTHS:
Selected with the tenth overall pick, Paul Pierce had a chip on his shoulder from the beginning feeling he should have gone a lot earlier in the draft. His play throughout his career has proven to all that he was not all talk. Pierce was a legitimate scoring threat for nearly 15 years of his career averaging 21 PPG with a season high 26.8 in 05-06. Pierce had the advantage of size and strength over most wing players in the NBA and used it to its full extent driving to the bucket and getting to the line as much as possible with 7 FTA per game over his career and in 05-06 went to the line an average of 10.3 times per game. It helped that he was and 81% freethrow shooter through his career to maximize those opportunities. The Truth was also a great shooter from beyond the arc with a career mark of 37%. Good rebounding for a wing player averaging nearly 6 rebounds per game throughout his career.
WEAKNESSES:
Although his size was an advantage on the offensive end it was a hindrance on the defensive side of things because he didn't have the quick feet to always stay in front of opposing players. Turnover were also an issue with nearly 3 TOV per game for his career.
SIGNIFICANT INFO:
10x NBA All Star, 4x All NBA, 1x NBA champion
