Does anyone else like to listen to podcasts? I am stuck in the car a lot sitting in traffic so I'd be interested in hearing what you guys like. So far I like listening to: - Radiolab
- The Moth
- This American Life
- The Basketball Jones (per Corey's recommendation on here)
- Spanish podcasts (don't have one in particular, but I recently downloaded a bunch to try and learn)

I listen to a ton of Joe Rogan Experience. Basically he has on all type of people from fighters and comedians to rock stars and quantum physicists. They sit down for a few hours and talk about any and everything. He smokes weed and uses hallucinogens so he likes to contemplate the universe quite a bit and he really opens you up to a different way of thinking. I strongly suggest it, I know its changed countless lives and has really kicked me in the ass to start eating healthy, exercising, and just living my life in a much better way. Joe Rogan is the shit Other then that Dan Carlins Hardcore History is another fascinating podcast about history. He takes it very seriously and goes in depth on whatever he's talking about. If you are a history buff, I think you'd have to look into it.

Joe Rogan Experience and Pointless are my main ord right now. Give Joe Rogans show a chance, I definitely judged the book by the cover when it came to him.

And to echo CSKAs post the podcast definitely helped me through a rough patch last year.

I listened to "hot talk" on the radio until it basically died or moved to Sirius XM, but I still listen to some of the former shows that went to podcast form, such as The Big O and Dukes Show and The Mike O'Meara Show. If nothing else, the podcasts are of a much higher quality production than most of the stuff you'll find...

I'll check out Pointless, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, and Joe Rogan Experience. Are there any stand-out episodes of Joe Rogan that I should make my first listen?

I'll check out Pointless, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, and Joe Rogan Experience. Are there any stand-out episodes of Joe Rogan that I should make my first listen? There are 300+ episodes so you might have to look into who you want to listen to. They are all pretty awesome so you can't really go wrong. The ones with Immortal Technique are cool, David Lee Roth is cool, any of the the ones with his comedian friends are awesome. Anthony Bourdain is on there as well. Just check some out and you'll get a feel for them. I should have really written the good ones down but they are all pretty solid. Oh and if you want to laugh, find one with Joey Diaz. He always funny when hes not even trying.

Joe Rogan's podcast is a must-have for anyone who wants to live a fulfilling life while currently wandering through it in a haze. Shit's insane. Often, people don't know exactly what causes them to not tap into their potential, and he manages to express in words you can understand exactly what went wrong (you care too much about what others think, you make excuses, etc.) and how you can resolve them. As for working out, that's one guy I wouldn't take any advice from considering he's on TRT (LIFELONG testosterone replacement therapy).

Radiolab and TAL are pretty much the tops. The Basketball Jones is brilliant. Other than that, I listen to a lot of webdev/content- and productivity-based podcasts.

OH. And also: My Brother, My Brother, And Me - the best damned "advice" program you'll ever listen to.

Not sure if you play fantasy sports, but the Fantasy Focus Baseball and Fantasy Focus Football podcasts are my favorites.

Do you ever listen to the Football one? I think it's a bit better even though it's the same guys. They are wrong just as often as they are right, but they are entertaining so that keeps me coming back.

Nope...I'm aware they do the podcast, but since I don't play fantasy football much anymore (while I'm still in some big money baseball leagues) I don't really pay attention to fantasy football podcasts.

I listened to a few episodes of Joe Rogan and I'm unimpressed. I'm not sure whether the 15 minute advertisements at the beginning of the show rubbed me the wrong way, or whether it was just him. Rogan's a good conversationalist, but he doesn't really offer anything that I haven't thought about before.
On the other hand, MBMBAM was great. Corey, which web dev and productivity podcasts do you listen to? I'm actually in web development too.

If you're in leadership or own your own business, the Entreleadership Podcast with Dave Ramsey is pretty insightful.

I actually stopped listening to the fantasy baseball podcast recently. All the drops were getting ridiculous. I'm not interested in having a 10-20 second break in the podcast 10 times per show so they can play a stupid drop. Pretty frustrating since I love the personalities of the hosts. Went to a fangraphs baseball podcast for now, which is less entertaining but more informative and the best thing - No Drops!
