Pros: Darrall is one of the few good big men in this draft. In fact he may be the only "complete" big man there is in this draft. He scores, he defends, and he had the skills to develop into a good rebounder. He's not the best big man scorer in this draft but he is better than most already in the league. There aren't a ton of big men averaging close to 20 and I think Imhoff has that kind of ability down the road. That's not even considering his defense, he has the instincts to be one of the best rim-protectors in the league. That's another skill many teams in the league could use right now.
Cons: Imhoff is much more of a post scorer than a perimeter scorer. Usually you need to pick one or the other (if either) and in this case he is much more comfortable close to the rim. That's probably a good thing in the terms of a Power Forward who can rebound. You also want high shooting percentages from your big men if you can. Having them hang out on the perimeter jacking jumpers isn't going to help that.
Overall: At 6'10" he can play Center but down the road you may want to slide him over to the 4 if you want to add some size. It's not a bad thing, he should be versatile enough to play both positions in the league. How early is too early to draft on need? If Boston gets the 3 pick will they add another Small Forward to play with Elgin Baylor? That may be a bit of a reach (since trading down is always an option) but I do think Imhoff has the talent and size to go in the top half of the lottery.
Projection: 4-6
