Name: Dana Barros Position: PG and SG Number: 11 DOB: April 13, 1967 Drafted: 1st Round (3rd Pick) Age when drafted: 22 College: Boston College Hometown: Westwood, Massachusetts Height: 5’11” Weight: 163 lbs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Great shooter especially from long range shot over 40% on 3.1 3PA/g). Very quick player who has great hands (1.4 tpg/0.9steals) Hits anything open from midrange (.858 ft) and has a decent overall FG% (.460) for a small guard. Worked hard to improve throughout his career, best served as instant offense off the bench and can play both spots well offensively. Played 13 years in the league.
WEAKNESSES: Size is obviously a big issue as he is more of a combo guard but does not have the size to guard bigger guards. No rebounding to speak of (career high of 3.3) and although a decent passer is not a purer pg (career 3.3). Mainly came off the bench in his career but excelled offensively when allowed to start.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: 1 Time All Star (1995), NBA Most Improved Player (94-95), 59th all time in 3PM, 35th all time in FT%, 43rd career in effective FG&, 16th career 3PT% (.411) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
