Name: Clifford Robinson
Position: Power Forward/ Center/Small Forward
Number: 3
DOB: December 16, 1966
Drafted: 2nd Round (9th Pick)
Age when drafted: 22
College: Connecticut
Hometown: Buffalo, New York
Height: 6’10”
Weight: 225 lbs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Versitle player who can play all 3 front court positions and is a very good defender all over the floor. 9 times averages at least 1 block and 1 steal per game in career. Very good shooter for a big man from downtown (career .356) but doesn’t have a great mid range game. Good post moves that use his quickness to get around bigger players, but not an efficient scorer. Came off the bench most of his career but still scored 20+ppg 3 times. Can make the pass out of the double team and doesn’t turn it over a lot.Durable played 18 NBA seasons and played 70+ games in all but 2 seasons (lockout and last season/13 times 80+ games).
WEAKNESSES: Lacks the strength to bang with the bigger players despite being able to play good position defense. Not a very good rebounder for his size and positions played (career huigh of 6.7rpg). For a good 3pt shooter struggles from the line (career .689). Takes a lot of shots (7 years with 13+fga/game)
SIGNIFICANT INFO: Nicknamed Uncle Cliffy, 1 Time All Star, NBA Sixth Man of the Year (1992-93), 2 time NBA All Defensive 2nd Team, 9th All Time in games played (1380), 35th in 3FG, 51st steals, 47th points, 44th blocks, 52nd turnovers, 10th personal fouls
