Name: Paul Pressey Position: SF/SG Number: 25 DOB: December 24, 1958 Drafted: 1st Round (20th Pick) Age when drafted: 23 College: Tulsa Hometown: Richmond, Virginia Height: 6’5” Weight: 185 lbs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Great playmaker (career 5.1 apg) for a forward, the offense ran through him during parts of his career. Has the ability to score but looks to do other things first (career 10.6ppg with 7 years in double figures). Quick feet and hands (1.4 steals per game and 0.6 blocks) made him a menance on defense who could guard all three perimeter positions. Solid FT shooter and mid range jump shooter (.749 for career). May be best suited as a 6th man off the bench play PG-SF. Has the quickness to play all perimeter positions but struggled against bigger forwards due to a lack of strength.
WEAKNESSES: Durability concerns only played 10 seasons and only missed 5 or less games his first 5 seasons. No 3pt Range (career .222) Can be turnover prone (5 seasons with 2.5+ turnovers). Not a big leaper and is an average at best rebounder.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: Some call him the originator of the Point Forward position. 3 Time NBA All Defensive Team (twice first team), 92nd all time in APG ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
