Mullin's biggest offensive weapon was his sweet left-handed jumpshot which was quick and pure and helped him average 18.2ppg over his 16 year career including a career high in the 1988-89 season where he averaged 26.5ppg. Mullin was also a fitness freak, had great stamina, averaging big minutes over his career including leading the league for 2 straight seasons in minutes played. On the defensive end Mullin was very good at stealing the ball from his opponent, averaging 1.6 for his career and a season high of 2.1spg in 3 seperate years. Mullin handled the ball a lot for a Small Forward and was a very good passer for his position. Over a 5 year span from the 89-93 seasons he averaged 25.7ppg, 5.6rpg, 4apg, 1.88spg showing what a versatile player he was.
WEAKNESSES: Mullin was more effective on the offensive end than the defensive end and although not a bad defender, he relied more on getting steals from his opponent. Suffered from alcohol problems early in his career and had some injuries later but still played 16 years. Struggled a little with turnovers but did handle the ball a lot and played in fast tempo offensive.
