Pros: Lenny Wilkins out of Providence represents the latest in a long lineage of great point guards from New York City. Like most New York point guards, Lenny's game is based around his elite ball handling abilities. Combined with his natural quickness, Wilkins has been a nightmare matchup throughout his entire college career. Wilkins is also an excellent passer, and thus can truly facilitate the basketball around the floor. Simply put Lenny dictates the pace, and the defense has to attempt to keep up. Wilkins also has a phenomenal mid range jumpshot, especially of the dribble. As well as being a quick player, Wilkins is also a great jumper, and has an endless gas tank. this really shows on the defensive side of the ball where he is a great on ball defender. Cons: While Wilkins possesses a great jumpshot, its range has always been limited. The 3-pointer is certainly an area of his game which could improve. Wilkins is not the most physical presence on the court, so don't look to him to consistently score in the paint, grab boards or strong arm opponents. Overall: Lenny Wilkins has a skill set which is pro-level, and he could start on nearly any team in the league. Wilkins is quickness and finesse defined, and executes plays at a very high level. Projection: Top 4

Pros: Wilkins main strength is his handles. He won't commit a lot of turnovers with the way he controls the ball. While his handling is very good right now as a 22 year old, he definitely hasn't hit his ceiling yet. Wilkins jump shot out to 20 feet is very good so you should see him shoot a high percentage, while taking high percentage shots. Last but not least, Wilkins is an excellent defender. He is a very quick defender, so he should be able to keep up with the top point guards in the league.
Cons: Lenny is a little undersized, so he might have a tough time keeping up with the more physical point guards. He will have to hit the weight room if he wants to be a more complete defender. While Wilkins has a very nice jump shot coming into the league, he still needs to work on his free throws and and extend his range out to the three point area. It might take him a while to improve as a three shooter, teams will definitely have to spend some time with him if that concerns them. He may not be a pass first point guard right away, so he will have to look to improve as a passer if he wants to be a pure point guard.
Overall: Wilkins should be able to make an impact rate away with his shooting and defensive abilities. He could become a top 5 point guard off the bat with the tools he has offensively and defensively. While Wilkins has the tools to become an elite player, sooner rather than later, he will need to hit the weight room if he wants to hang with the more physical point guards in the league.
Projection: Top 5
