LONDON (AP) - After days of intense lobbying and self promotion the dust has settled and the votes have been counted. The ruling class of ABCA Legends has been chosen and those owners selected to represent the best interest of the league are Corey Vilhauver, John Plossl, Craig Sangha, Dave Thompson, and Aaron Roark.
Let's get a more in-depth look at each of the newest members of the bourgeoisie.
Corey Vilhauer | Boston Celtics
Mr. Vilhauer is a well-respected member of ABCA and perhaps best known as the official ABCA ombudsman (which I think means he'll help you smoke your pot). Expect his arguments to be fair, big picture, and focused on maintaining historical accuracy. Corey has arguably been the best General Manager in ABCA but I think that could be said for any of the other people mentioned in this report, too. He may have the most rings to back it up though.
John Plossl | Berlin ALBA
John Plossl is widely known as one of the most active traders in the league. If something isn't working with his team he isn't afraid to shake things up and I think that translates into his view on the league. He isn't one to balk at a new idea or shy away from something that will make the league better. He has a voracious apatite for film and I know few people with better taste in cinema than Swoosh.
Craig Sangha | Mahram Tehran
Craig views himself as an outsider but then so do the next two committee members. Craig has run ABCA at different points and certainly has it's best interest in mind. His ability to have his own voice, build winning teams, and dedicate so much of his own personal time to keeping ABCA afloat that he is one of the most respected General Managers in the league - which is evident by the votes he received.
Dave Thompson | Los Angeles Lakers
Dave is another General Manager who has been here a while and believes that he is outside of "the clique" - whatever that is. (All I know is that it's like the mafia - it doesn't exist, capiche?) Dave loves his Lakers and will try to add to the legacy of the franchise. While you may not (potentially) always agree with Dave's opinions you will know that he has convictions and believes in the reason he is fighting for.
Aaron Roark | Mexico City Titans
Roark has been in ABCA since the beginning and has been running his own successful league for a number of years. Aaron may have the most sim-league experience of anyone on this list. With a new game comes new ideas and new problems. Having him as part of the committee will help for new issues that arise and for connections to new up-and-coming General Mangers to step in when we have a vacancy either through termination or expansion.
Overview
All in all everyone on the committee has been a proven winner in this league and will be dedicated to making sure that the total experience is as good and fair as possible.
There has already been one vote that has taken place and it's offical. The Toronto franchise will change their name from the Raptors to the Huskies at the request of Seergobin - the very first ABCA Champion.
