Cairo 22 1at can be really good considering how amazing that draft is. #4 is more of a sure thing. I put even.

I like it more for Warriors because the Cairo pick should be good in a good draft. However, I don't think this was a bad move for the Spurs they need offence they got 2 good defensive pieces in Laimbeer and Richardson.

Yeah with Len Bias likely falling to 4, Spurs get their offensive centerpiece. Meanwhile, the Warriors have a very nice start to a franchise build with 2 starter caliber players if they draft well.

I like it for the Warriors. I'm not as sold star wise on this draft as others seem and Cairo 1st always is valuable.

Bias is the better prospect but the 76ers want huge center and likely reach a tad for sampson

Bias is the better prospect but the 76ers want huge center and likely reach a tad for sampson Seems like it would be a waste of a top 3 pick. I thought he picked Cartwright last year because he wanted a huge Center and that didn't really work out in his favor. I say just go BPA and move forward.

Who do you think is the 3rd pick? This was assuming Sampson goes before him Looks like you called it on this one. I really didn't expect Sampson to come off the boards before Bias but it happened. Definitely a big pickup for San Antonio. They are young and have at least some talent at each spot. C - Bill Laimbeer PF - Kresmir Cosic SF - Len Bias SG - Michael Ray Richardson PG - John Lucas No one over 25 years old in that lineup.

I think with some nurturing, Bias will be a star.

Same here and while he clearly took a hit i'm not as down on Cosic as everyone else. He still can be a starter/contributor for a team with playoff hopes.

Cosic is a starter (and is paid like one).
He may never be elite but he is okay. I remember people being really down on Korac and now he's a key piece in what Belgrade does.

like this trade for GSW.
after the top 4-5 guys in the draft the rest drop off far. as an expansion team it gives them a few role player/starters this year. if they are a below average team this yea, then they add two more high picks next year and could round out a starting five in two seasons. time.

That is the hope we will see if it actually turns out that way but I felt like I needed to add as many assets as possible and this allows me to do so
