Check it out as it goes up. Might be a few minutes yet.
Get those DCs in EARLY for the Monday sim. The turnout in the last DC was not encouraging heading into the new 3-day sim schedule. Don't make me regret making this change.
The save will be updated at the same time too.

Blah...3-3 sim. Dropped both home and away to the Huskies, which doesn't bode well for the future against Wilt. I did take down CSKA in our defensive challenge, so that was a positive...we rematch in the next sim in his home court.

3-2
This is annoying. I need to make changes. I didn't trade away all my picks to settle for a .500 team.

3-4 sim but still 2nd in the Eurasian. Going through a spell of 11 out of 12 games being away.

Yeah gotta fiddle with my settings. Shouldn't have stayed with the outside focus. We are taking way too many 3s a game and it's either really good, or really bad We did put up 135 against Toronto though and jumped to 2nd in the division.

6-0 with some more minor tweaks. After a rough 1-5 start to the season, we're 11-2 since then. The big difference might've been Vern Jackson, who looks like he really sucks. But in this FBB, having C inside actually means you have a little ability to score, which is really what my frontcourt needs.
My scouts seem to like my team more this time. Yardley is now a green player, and Borgmann/Jenkins have blue potential.
Highlights:
Beat Boca by 5 in a low scoring game. Even though Boca isn't good, I was concerned about my team's ability to win at a slower pace when Yardley/Jenkins/Loscutoff don't perform. Borgmann: 40/8/4/1 in a 10 point win over Boston. Also, 37/4/2/1 in a 31 point victory over the Lakers. Yardley: 16/12/6/5 in a 2 point win over the Islanders. Adrian Smith: 24/3/2/3 off the bench in a 36 point win over Brazil. Embry: 21/15/1/3 on 10-14 shooting in a 1 point OT victory over the Sonics.
We had a very well-rounded sim this time so that it wasn't all Bennie Borgmann. Still, he's incredible, leading the league in scoring by 3.5 points and shooting 52/88/50.
We played a nice combination of good teams and poor teams, and showed that we can close games, which is key. I'm really liking this team.

Ray Felix is hurt yet I am still over .500; I must not be maximizing his value well enough..

Max Z got POTW!!
He's climbing the PPG ranks.
Looks like Luisetti is starting where he left off. That guy is a crazy scorer.

Had a great 6-1 sim and am 8-2 since my 5 game skid. Dolph and Guy are all over the leaderboards and my team is still playing great defense.

4-2 sim and both losses were by 1 point each on the road. Best record in the league. I'll take it.

since the horrendous start at 1-7, we've been 6-6. Very disappointed with how things are going since we looked to draft players that fit THAT system

Went 4-2 and pretty happy with it. My losses were to Berlin after talking shit to him so that sounds about right and my other lost was to Beijing by 1 point. Im not happy with the fact that 3 of my 6 games the opposing team scored over 110 points but I think we will get past it. Still looking to trade for some depth if any of you have some for trade

I honestly dont have a clue how we can be so good at home..or how our defense is in the top half in the league...Lol..I cant wait when two years from now, I have a 2-3 defensive studs and my overall defense sucks.

3-2 sim not bad. 2.5 games out of the division lead so hopefully my team can figure it out soon so i can make a decent run.

It looks like I own the Hawks this year. I beat him twice. Otherwise I lost a lot of games, some close some not so much. Sotiri looks like a stud though. Ed Conlin got hurt which had a negative effect on my team. ON the positive, I currently hold the two best chances for the number 1 pick in the draft.

since the horrendous start at 1-7, we've been 6-6. Very disappointed with how things are going since we looked to draft players that fit THAT system I understand some people drafted to win now, but why take the risk with a brand new game (FBPB) without knowing how to manage the game play style, settings, Depth Charts properly? My goal was to draft Volnov in the 1st round and build around him and IIRC I feigned interest in a bunch of 27-29 year olds to divert attention from him. When he fell through, I went straight for Radivoj Korac. My first 3 picks were all ages 18-20 (currently 19-20 year olds). This way, I get a couple seasons to mess with settings, game plans, DCs, etc. while developing my roster.

I would argue that it's less certain how potential will develop in this game than current ratings/settings. There aren't many very good teams. It's a better opportunity than pining for a top 5 pick.

All I know is I'd rather get a 20-22 year old franchise anchor (to go alongside Korac & Pistelak) and form a potential dynasty down the road then spend the draft picking up 27+ year olds in hopes of sneaking in a quick title and then being stuck in the worst place possible for half a decade - too good to get top pick, too bad to miss playoffs - and have a continuous cycle of unsuccessful seasons. This is *MY OPINION* and isn't intended to piss you or any other contending GM off. It's just how I'm viewing things currently.

Afterwards it is possible to remain so through free agency, trades, etc. Should my team ever fall from title contention despite those moves, I would certainly blow it up rather than rema in as an average team like you say.
I also really didn't like most of the ratings for the young studs. Pistelak is one I do like, but there are not too many others who made me think "wow, I'll suck for a few years to have that dude"
I know you're not trying to piss anyone off, I'm also just telling it like I see it.
