I tried to run Nellie ball last sim with Cazzie Russell at Center, and it didn't turn out any better or worse than what I've been doing all season. I also recently put Nikos Galis at the 3 because he has C post defense. I'm running maximum pace, motion, and 3-point shooting, and the way I see it, I'm starting 5 of my 6 best guys. I hear some people have issues with my lineup, so what does everyone think my starting lineup should be? I can start one of my scrub Centers, but they're slow and, well, bad at basketball. Would Steve Mix make an acceptable Center option considering how I'm trying to get my team to play?

Its a tough thing to balance.
I don't believe you were trying to tank but I know others were curious so that's why I sent you the PM.
I'd love to hear from those who wanted it changed.

Like I mentioned in the chat I have no idea what your roster looks like so I'll check it out before stating anything one way or the other.
What people seemed to have issue with is you running 3 PGs at the 1-3 and a SF at Center. Again I don't know what your options were/are but that's what the issue is. If you'd like to see things through your scouts eyes, swing me a pm and i'll get those to you. I try and help guys that don't have the game since I know it puts them at a disadvantage.

Something others pointed out is that you cut Share and Boerwinkle, two Centers, earlier and left yourself with big cap hits.
That might add to the concern that other GMs had that you might have been "tanking".
Good luck though figuring out your DC. I think you have a big or two you can start and let Cazzie back them up if you want.

Man, you play your best players. Screw positions. Boris Diaw went from PG to C in the NBA... Cazzie can in the ABCA!!! FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT MY MAN!!
Or, go find a Center with high blocking and play him 48 mpg and see if you can fuck with the leaderboard. MWAHAHAHAHA

Do you have any actual advice to offer?

After looking over your roster, my suggestion is similar to London's. Start the bigs, play them a few MPG but give the heavy MPG to the guys you want to use.
Galis is weird because although he's 6'0" he's also got a C/C+ PSD. I can't say I wouldn't try him there myself if I was in your situation, not to try and lose games but just to see how he'd do there.
So again my suggestion is start something like:
Corzine/Benson - Steve Mix/Cazzie Russell at the big spots (no one should they can't play the forward spots). I'm not sure about the small forward spot because while it's interesting that you've got a 6 foot guy there, I just went through the league and I saw two guys 6-4 & 6-3 with similar/worse PSD starting there that hasn't been an issue. But if it's something you feel the need to change put Sonny Parker (who my scout says hhas solid potential) for a few MPG and then let Galis backup SF & SG. I mean if you don't play him then that's more questionable then playing him at SF and you've got the PG MPG pretty much locked up.
Those are my suggestions but I'm not up in arms about who you are playing. Although I'm usually not when it comes to the position discussions, I wasn't for the Volnov thing last year and i'm not for this. If I see a team starting someone with zero PSD at center, while having an A defender on their roster, that'd probably bother me but that's not what this is. You've got taller guys, who have similar or worse skills for the position on the bench. Like I said, if anything just start those guys for a few MPG and then go about building your DC as you normally would.

Do you have any actual advice to offer? Yes. Stick with his current line-up. He isn't winning anymore than he is now. Maybe 1-2 wins MAX by finding some settings that work perfectly for his team. Talent plays out and he lacks it right now. I would say maybe play Mix at C and Cazzie at PF though. Seems right to me unless he's simply testing the effectiveness Mix has at PF for down the road. I could argue playing Woody but he's been awful. Corzine can't move either. Both are blah for his style. End all tl;dr version. Switch Mix and Cazzie. Edit: Also, maybe start Sonny Parker at the 3 and let one of those PG come off the bench to back-up a lot of minutes.

Thanks everyone!
Pertaining to Share/Boerwinkle, I didn't think that'd be a big deal. They're about the same as the guys I have at the 5 right now, except they're worse scorers and slightly better at rebounding/defense. I needed to cut two guys for a trade, and I thought it'd be smarter for me to keep the young guys who might have some value down the line, rather than the old ones, who wouldn't have even netted me a 2nd round pick. Now the league scout has Boerwinkle as green/green, but he still sucks.
NY, thanks for the offer with my scout, but I deliberately hired a poor scout because I don't have access to the game haha.
Looks like Cazzie Russell is more of an issue than Nikos Galis right now. The only reason Cazzie's at the 5 right now is because he's so strong. I want to give him one more sim to see if my evil strategy can work, but after that, I can switch Mix to the 5 if that's ok with people, or move in one of my lumbering bigs if it's not.
Keep 'em coming.
