Purvis Short
SF | 6'7 | 212 lbs | 22 years old

Pros: Short's biggest strength is his jumpshot, which will help him find a spot in the ABCA. He already comes into the league with a very good mid range jumpshot and shows some potential to improve further there. Right now that is where the majority of his points will come from but scouts believe that his inside game is improving, as he uses his quickness to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim when defenses are over aggressive on closing out on the jumpshot. Speaking of his quickness that is another one of his strengths as he has above average quickness for the small forward position.
Cons: For someone with an impressive mid range game like he has it is a shame that his range doesn't extend out to the 3-point line. He also doesn't help out much in other aspects of the game like you would want from your small forward, his rebounding is bad and his post defense is even worse. He also won't help out much guarding on the perimeter, as he prefers to gamble for the steal than to play tough defense.
Overall: Purvis should be a good scorer in the league, initially with his jumpshot but as he develops he should be a good scorer inside with his quickness also. He doesn't add much in other areas though which should see him slip down the draft board. He has the potential to play both the small forward and shooting guard positions, which is a plus for him.
Projection: #17-25
