Sidney MoncriefSG | 6'3 | 187 lbs | 22 years oldabcalegends.com/players/player216.htmPros: Moncrief comes into the league already able to contribute on both ends of the floor from day one. Defense is Moncrief's biggest strength, he is already a very good perimeter defender coming into the league and projects to get even better once he fully develops his game. He is also able to generate steals. On the offensive side, Moncrief already has a very effective midrange jumpshot, which he bases his game around. Although not a great 3-point shooter his range does extend to beyond the 3-point line. Cons: At only 6'3 he is a little undersized to play the shooting guard position but he isn't able to play the point guard spot due to his poor passing and handling abilities, which could limit his effectiveness at the ABCA level. He will get a couple rebounds due to his leaping ability but don't expect too much from him there. Overall: Sidney Moncrief should be a good two-way player in the league, being especially effective on the defensive end. He is also ready to come in and contribute right away which not everyone in the draft class is. But being only 6'3 and not having the passing or ball handling to allow him to play the point guard position could limit him come draft day. Projection: 10-15

Name: Sidney Moncrief Position: SG Height: 6'3" Weight: 187 lbs DOB: 9/21/1997 www.abcalegends.com/players/player216.htmPros: Sidney Moncrief comes into the league ready to play and play well. Moncrief follows the mold set by other shooting guards (like Drexler and Griffith) in this draft of being able to play both ends of the court from day one, as Sidney is already able to play solid D while shooting a nice jumper. In the long term, Moncrief looks to add to his inside drive, making him a bigger scoring threat to go with the possibility he might be the best defender on the perimeter in the entire class. Cons: Moncrief is one of several shooting guards in this draft who have the same question...can they play the position in most systems when they can't shoot the three consistently? Throw in the fact that Moncrief is smallish for the position and is older than some might like (he will be 23 by the time the season starts), and it is easy to see why his name isn't being called more often on draft boards. Overall: Moncrief had a bit of buzz around him based on his defense when he first declared for the draft, but as more players announced and scouts got a better look at him, Sidney has fallen further and further down the draft boards. While he is able to contribute from day one, his limited upside and question marks look to make Moncrief a mid-1st round pick at best. Projection: #12-#17
