Name: Bill Laimbeer Position: C Height: 6'11" Weight: 252 lbs DOB: 5/19/1997 www.abcalegends.com/players/player235.htmPros: Bill Laimbeer might only be helpful on one side of the court, but he is extremely helpful there. Laimbeer comes into the league already being a defensive stalwart (can anyone say this year's Tree Rollins?) who can hit his free throws and is a capable rebounder to boot. Give him a couple seasons and Laimbeer will be one of the premier rebounding/defensive combo players in all the league. Cons: Laimbeer is a force on defense...and he has to be, because he is not now, nor does it appear he will ever be any help to your team on offense. There is always the hope that things change, but right now you have to go into the draft thinking you are potentially drafting a future league leader in rebounds who won't be a contributer on offense. Overall: After the top four players are off the board, this is where the draft talent starts to drop off and you get to the more specialized players. For teams who have offense at the other 4 positions and want a purely defensive player at center (look what Tree did for Mexico City as a rookie), Laimbeer is your man. While he will never been an offensive threat, he can single-handedly change the game for you on defense in the post. Projection: #5-#9
