Hey all,
I'm getting ready to take my puppy to the vet after he suffered what my mother and I think was a 'seizure'. He was rolled on his side and yelping, but it seemed like he had *some* control of his tail as it occasionally wagged. The whole episode took 1 minute. He also had a brief moment where he extended and 'rolled' his neck. Does that sound like a puppy seizure?

That doesn't sound good. Hopefully just a reaction to something and nothing bad. Hope everything is ok.

I've never had a dog and know nothing about them. I hope for your sake everything is cool and that someone else can provide more insight on the situation.

I don't want to freak you out but that happened to my dog a few times during his last year or 2. He was very old though. He wouldn't move for a while after the episodes and wouldn't eat. Then he'd eventually get up and slowly return to himself and begin eating/drinking again. Very scary to watch. I didn't know what to do besides pet him while he was laying on his side. Is your dog old?

Nope. He's 2.25 years old (he also has a brother aka twin). Vets think he may be epileptic, which would suck. I'm way too overly emotional with my puppies (especially because my previous puppy died soon after having a set of seizures in 2011).

Dogs are great. I loved my maltese. He lived until he was 18. Great dog.

I love the Siberian Husky I've got. Have had a couple of dogs that died sure does suck indeed when you get so attached.

He seems perfectly fine. They can't do anything for him unless he begins suffering frequent seizures. I'm very certain he's fine. Maybe he got into some chemical products? I don't know, but if it was serious, you'd learn it here. My little baby boy seems perfectly fine!

Thanks for caring man. Most people can't understand my love for animals. They're just "animals" after all...
