Okay, so I uploaded a new set of files to the site. The new one has the new contracts for players.
Some got cut by 1-2 years but it was done across the board and (I think) everyone got hit. It's so we don't have a monster FA class in 4 years featuring all of the 1st round talent that was just taken in the Creation Draft.
None of the contracts were cut down to a 1-year expiring deal. Everyone has their player for at least 2 years AND they have Bird Rights on him.
Coaches have gotten a MASSIVE update. Please look them over and let me know what is wrong with it. Two guys with the same name, someone is crazy overpowered, that kind of stuff.
I'll let you know how the coaching changes will be handled.
I think that's it.

Just realized that draft picks aren't listed anywhere on the output page. Maybe someone should hit up HR. Can't be too difficult.

If everyone got hit, won't this mean that we will have a massive FA class in 2 or 3 years instead?

"Everyone" as in "every team" not "every player" - it should space that crazy FA class out over 3 years instead of just 1. I feel like all of my coaches were downgraded.. They probably were but that's because everyone elses's coaches were downgraded a LONG time ago. You should have seen what Tokyo had compared to what they have.

Isn't Joe Dumars from Detroit still kind of overpowered?
I feel Mitch Kupchak was neutered to an extreme, I feel that he should at least have been on par with a Donnie Walsh type scout.

Everyone has to whine about something I guess...if you don't like who you have, fire your guy and put in your coaching bids

I'm going to have to I suppose. Mitch has over his career brought in and drafted great talent so I would figure he should be in the top 40% of scouts in the league is all.

No, because Dumars is a scout right now. If he ever becomes a HC/AC then his scouting ratings don't matter. I don't think much of Kupchak as a future scout. Who was the last guy they drafted who played for them.. Farmar? He manages some BS trades because he is in LA (doesn't take a genius to give peanuts [at the time] for Pau or Dwight). I think the A current is probably too generous but I'll let him keep it. But yeah, as Plossl said, if you don't like it - cut him. This isn't meant to be set-up where you make the actual LA Lakers team and run it. Put your own spin on it. Duh

Fair enough, I'd argue he's better then you see him being. Most of the best talent they've drafted are on other teams at this point.
Mainly is there a way to move coaches you have around? Like say I cut an AC and sign somebody that is a better fit as a Head Assistant or head coach, can you demote/promote current staff?

He drafted Marc Gasol but who else? Ebanks? Crittenton?
Bynum I suppose but that was a pretty no-brainer pick when/where they got him.

Bynum was a no brainer I suppose. It is hard to go back further then 2000 because he worked alongside Jerry West so West will get most of the credit pre-2000. However alot of their moves 2000-present have been made without being a lottery team. Some of the bigger moves were getting Odom/Butler/B.Grant for Shaq when he wanted out. Not his fault the team didn't use any of them properly. Then moved Grant/?? for Trevor Ariza that worked out well for a few seasons. Drafted M. Gasol (Who they should have just kept)but it's hard to fault him for the Pau trade even if it was majorly in their favor. He worked out a deal with Ron Artest when there weren't alot of teams looking at him due to rep.
List that he has drafted include: Mark Madsen (29th)Luke Walton (2nd round)Sasha Vujacic(27th) Bynum (10th) Ronny Turiaf (2nd round) Jordan Farmar (26th)Patrick Beverly (2nd rounder) Ebanks (2nd round).
Not alot of Superstar talent I give you that, however considering most of their picks are end of 1st round consistently it's hard to land A+ talents. I think he's done well enough.
Just wanted to share that stuff I found online. 100% ok with his ratings FYI, just wanted to share
Any info on my other question about moving coaches?

Oh sorry, I answered that on Skype at the same time.
No, it's not possible.
Well, it is but they'd both need to expire at the same time.
