@tom_Winter: Philip Seymour Hoffman's body was discovered at 11:30am. He had a syringe still in his arm and bags believed to contain heroin were found.
Speechless. Really loved his work. That's terrible.

Horrible to hear...even with an Academy Award, Hoffman was still one of the most underrated actors working today. What an unbelievable loss.

Holy Shit. That is some really crappy news. Why do so many celebs seem to think it's a necessity to do drugs? I'd imagine if I was filthy fucking rich I could find so many better things to do to make me feel good.

Damn. He was absolutely one of my favorite actors. Happiness, Magnolia, 25th Hour, The Savages, The Big Lebowski, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Charlie Wilson's War, Pirate Radio, etc. I haven't even seen Boogie Nights or The Master, yet. Synecdoche, New York is one of my favorite movies, ever, as well.

This is awful. Heard it earlier today and it just plain sucks. Along with all the work he's done thus far, the Hunger Games movies now have a HUGE issue to overcome as they just lost Plutarch Heavensbee who already made an appearance in the second movie.
