Bucs also bring in frazier as the d coordinator Is this confirmed? As of this morning on my drive into work the radio was saying that Smith was hiring Rod Marinelli as his DC...

You sure rob wasnt the oc?.. I heard frazier this morning drive I heard Jeff Tedford as OC (which is what ESPN has) and Marinelli as DC (ESPN has it was either Marinelli or Frazier)...I wasn't sure if anything had actually been confirmed.

That's gotta be the most laid back coaching staff ever. Who will get on the players there? No fire between the two of them...

I think that was their issue before.
The old coach was too rah-rah and not laid back enough.
We'll see how it plays out.
If they hire Leslie I bet Revis is cut. Don't need to invest that much in a CB for his scheme.

I would assume Revis gets cut regardless. He isn't a zone CB and Lovie will run the Dungy Tampa 2, let Revis walk, hell we could use another corner in Denver.

What do you think things were like with Raheem Morris two seasons ago? Lovie Smith might not be Schiano, but at least he will pretend like there are rules.

So Munchak gets the axe in Tennessee after getting an extension offer of DOUBLE his salary if he was willing to make staff changes he wouldn't agree to...unbelievable. That makes 6(?) coaching changes already this offseason, and should make Munchak the #1 prospect to get the Penn St. job.
Also, Frazier did get the gig as the DC in TB...guess Marinelli will have to wait a little while longer.

So they signed him to a deal and he changed what changes he was willing to make?
What happened in Tennessee?

As it is being reported, the Titans had a meeting with Munchak on Friday and offered him an extension for double his salary IF he was willing to dump over half his staff. He said no at the meeting, he wanted to do things his way, they said sleep on it, he said it was his way or the highway and they said hit the road.
At least that's how it's being reported. If you are coming off another losing season and a team is willing to not only keep you but offer you twice as much cash, I don't know how you can be so cavalier unless you were planning on leaving to take the Penn State job the whole time...it just sounds fishy to me.

Jeff Ireland is out as the Dolphins GM in the least shocking move of the offseason. Miami already cut Mike Sherman as OC, so it looks like Joe Philbin has dodged the bullet this offseason by sacrificing his friend and mentor. Unless a shocking non-hot seat coach grabs the Penn State job for no reason, it looks like there will be no more firings this offseason...just five more vacancies to fill at the head coaching position (and now two GM positions).

Surprised that Philbin survived, but Ireland needed to go

Hopefully the Browns sign Jesus F. Christ as the next head coach because that is what it is going to take to break the curse of Art Modell....that bastard!

Jay Gruden to the Redskins...not a surprising hire at all, but am I the only one underwhelmed by it? Maybe it is just the way that Andy Dalton performed in the postseason (for the third straight year), but I just don't really think Gruden is the answer for RG3's woes.

It's funny, cause I saw Gruden and thought they got the good one.
