Stories are coming out left and right (but first reported by Jay Glazer) that the Chiefs are certain they will select Fisher over Joeckel.
Both LTs, both highly regarded, but for the last 2-months its been nothing but Joeckel to KC. Apparently not so much.
Still sounds like they move Albert somewhere early in this draft for a 2nd rounder (since they gave one up for Alex Smith).
My Vikes sit at 23 and 25. A lot of speculation that we'll slide back from 25 into the early 2nd if a team that wants a QB decides to get back into the 1st.

Saints my squad and I want Jarvis Jones @ 15 like no other. Fits need and is a producer. If he or Mingo aren't there, I'd love to try and trade back if at all feasible. San Fran and a couple others have too many picks as it is.

Sounds like the Rams are looking to trade the 22nd pick.

No idea what we'll be looking at for my Broncos. Seen all kinds of mock drafts and could go anywhere. Would love a Lacey to be there but he'll probably be gone by then. Maybe Te'o if the Vikings don't take him.
John at this pace, any chance they take Geno Smith if he's still available if Oakland doesn't grab him? I hate Ponder so it would seem like a move to think about

Hopefully the Vikings don't even think about taking Geno. They need to go get WR/LB/CB/DT help before they entertain the idea of drafting a QB.

Maybe, but I'd prefer to have a guy that can complete a pass past 10 yards before I start giving him weapons he can't use. Ponder is Mark Sanchez levels of bad in my eyes

Ponder played well enough down the stretch for him to keep his job going into next year. Plus he didn't have Percy or a receiver that could play on the outside. I mean its hard to pass the ball down field when guys can't get any separation. It doesn't excuse some of his bad throws he made but he still needs a legit #1 receiver to have any chance to succeed. Look how bad Joe Webb played with the same group of guys Ponder was playing with all season, it showed that he wasn't as awful as everyone thought.

To be fair, Webb wasn't expected to play that game til the last minute. All of my in-laws are Viking fans and with my wife for some reason being a Jets fan would hate to see them fall in love with a mediocre QB like the Jets did and just blindly stick with him. Geno could be good to put on the bench and develop IMO

True, while Webb wasn't expected to play he still should've been prepared to get the start since Ponder was banged up going into the playoff game. I don't necessarily love Ponder, I think its still early to give up on him. Year 3 for QBs are always looked at as their make or break year. Hopefully the Vikings end up with Shariff Floyd out of Florida. Every mock draft I saw had him going in the top 10. That would be a major steal if you asked me.

God I'm terrified about my Broncos pick. Not sure where Houston goes but I'd love to see the Broncos add Lacy to the backfield. His power running would fit right in with what they lost when McGahee went down and we lost our bashing back. COME ON DON'T LET ME DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the Vikings don't even think about taking Geno. They need to go get WR/LB/CB/DT help before they entertain the idea of drafting a QB. Well Vikings traded up into the 1st so they had 3 first round picks (They traded a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th for the last one though..). They took a WR, CB, and DT, one of which was Shariff Floyd. I'm not gonna lie, you were on your shit with the Vikes this season haha. I'm kind of surprised they didn't take a chance on Teo for one of those picks considering he was a high pick at one point, but I cant say I'm upset at all. I think this is the 2nd year in a row we've had a great draft but we have to wait and see. With all that said, this season is put up or shut up for Ponder. He got to see how good his TE really is, we got Jennings who is a legit route runner, and we also got him some more WR help. We helped out our defense as well and hopefully Kevin Williams will really benefit from Shariff Floyd in there. Yet another year I'm excided for the Vikes, they are making good moves all around and really trying to get this team going while AP carries us along.

Wow big move for the Vikings. I turned it off before that happened.
I like Patterson but 4 picks seems like a lot to give up.

The draft is beyond terrible by all accounts. The first QB being selected #16 should be a strong indicator of that.

The draft is beyond terrible by all accounts. The first QB being selected #16 should be a strong indicator of that. Quite wrong. While there is a lack of "skill" players. Most scouts will tell you this is the deepest draft in a very long time. It is also loaded with guys who play in the trenches. Safeties (normally a weak point) are loaded in this draft as well. Saying it is beyond terrible because there is no obvious star at QB is extremely elementary of you.

I have to agree with Brazil here. 3 O Takles in the first 4 picks should give you an idea at how good positions other then QB, WR, and RB are in this draft.

There was a mad rush on linemen up front on this draft. It allowed some of the other guys to slide.
For me the biggest "WHA?!!!!" pick was EJ Manuel...
I mean.. who?!
I heard all month about Barkley, Smith, and Nassib. Who the hell is EJ Manuel?

EJ Manuel is a big strong athletic QB from Florida St. Has the Arm Strength, mobility that people love but seems to lack accuracy and decision making. Smart kid and didn't seem to get in any trouble. Not saying good pick but understandable with the way the league is moving.
That being said, Landry Jones, Barkley, Geno seem like 3 obviously solid QBs to me.

When they were showing tape of EJ Manuel I was thinking holy shit this guy is huge for a QB. Hes a big dude lol. He looks like a running back (size wise) when he runs.

I was laughing so hard cause I figured they had given up all those picks for Teo, but then they took Patterson. Gruden didn't seem sold on Patterson at all at this point. Probably could have moved up a few spots in the 2nd and still gotten him. But who needs all those other picks amirite?

Saying it is beyond terrible because there is no obvious star at QB is extremely elementary of you. While I disagree with KK's reasoning (the QB's draft placement has nothing to do with the depth of the draft), I don't disagree with his overall statement. This draft class is exceedingly weak, both in star value and in depth. As for "most scouts", CBS Sportsline was running a story yesterday about how "most scouts" interviewed were saying this was the weakest draft class in a dozen years, so I guess we will see...

Weak at the top sure. No "star" power. But round 3 will be full of guys who would have gone in round 2 in most drafts.
At least there seems to be some stalwarts along the line in this draft. Unlike 2009 (very, very bad).

I want Mathieu on the Vikes but I don't think he makes it to Round 4 Pick 5 (our next pick after moving up).

He could after reportedly not interviewing for a couple teams last week and sort of disappearing.
Gruden wanted him to go in the 1st. LOL
