Kind of curious on peoples observations about the game. I am finding just going through the draft file, startling since it goes against how I was use to picking talent with the old game.

Yeh, this scouting aspect has me thoroughly confused. I'm sure we'll figure it out down the line, but it makes things tricky right now.

Yeah it's weird. The outputted rosters ratings of my players aren't all that close to how they are in the game, but that's okay. They are still good players worthy of their draft positions and I kind of like the new randomness in the game.
Prior FBB seemed so obvious. This feels more like real life.

I like how the file looks, just weirds me out for some of the things. I like how every player isn't a A- defender like before. Players are more distinguishable.

FYI - For trading differences, the new game allows 3 or 4 team trading...I'm intrigued to see who are the first teams will to give it a shot.

I'm in. Let's get a 4-team deal in the works. Might be impossible to pull off - I didn't even tried one during the beta

I got a 2nd in the future to deal for a 2nd this year if you wanna make it extended to 4 teams. LOL

In a couple seasons when all the contracts look much different, then it might be a harder thing to swing.

Judging from the league leaders page it looks like this version of the game has more realistic stats for post player FG%, rebounds and blocks - and assists that are significantly toned down. Is that what a typical FBB3 season looks like, or is it just a result of the particular set of players currently in the league?

We have a dearth of good PGs and we started out with severely reduced ratings on both players and coaches.

yup how players develop imo is the biggest part of the game going forward we need to learn about. If players with low ratings like these do not develop even with high potentials we are gonna have a league with super super starts and a bunch of scrubs and little in the middle. If they do develop over time the league will filter out nicely. I for one am eager to see the next few Training camps

I am certainly interested to see how TC works out.

Does anyone know how exactly, or roughly, Training Camp works in this game? I was a bit concerned doing mine, especially with the age of Borgmann. If you set a certain category to 0, does that mean that the player will not work on it at all, and thus might regress? For instance, if a player in real life spent 0 time working on conditioning over the summer, he would obviously start the season out of shape. If I don't train Borgmann at least a little on 3-point shooting, might he regress? Or if I train him almost exclusively on shooting, could that survive age declines, similar to Ray Allen?

To be honest I don't know, but I am not sure regression happens quite that fast. What I've noticed (and this is pretty general) is that the CPU rarely gives a 0 to a category for TC. If they do it's a Center who has no need for PerD and vice versa for a PG. Probably doesn't help much but we're all going in pretty blind here. Some are just going to RECOMMEND and see how it goes. Maybe you want to do that for Borgmann and chose for some of your other players? I dunno man.
