With the reality of the hard cap, liquidating picks for cap space makes sense for me, especially in the later rounds.  I have my eye on a specific player still in the pool, and there's no guarantee of him making it to 6th in the round.

Also I am on paper going to be the weakest team, which bodes well for my overall gameplan.
