Traded out of the first round and got the point I needed in Doc Rivers.
Second round, I picked up Mark Blount, who is blue potential. I'll take it.

Feel very good about Butler and Deng's value at 11 and 15, but Gooden is all risk/potential at 16, so I'll go B

A+++
You could say I reached for Calderon or that better players were available than Barnes/Simmons/Hinrich, but I got LeBron, so that makes it the best Madrid draft, ever.

REALLY happy with my draft.
At #14 I landed Danny Granger who I thought would be long gone before I picked.
Definitely has some growing to do but I see the potential and athletically I think he has all the tools to be a starter in this league. One thing to remember is that a B potential is anywhere from a B- to an A- so a lot of these ratings could look a lot more impressive once he fills out. If you don't understand what I mean look at this random rookie from Season 7.
Dantley came in as a lot more sure thing offensively (Granger's peak offensive ratings are probably around rookie-2nd year Dantley which was still pretty good) but Granger projects to be a better ball handler, equal or better passer, and better rebounder. The biggest knock on Granger is probably his defense but in reality he could have peak Dantley level defense (A- PRD, C+/B- STL) with better PSD and BLK. Also one thing that Dantley has always been praised for is his defense (even right now heading towards 30 his athleticism has actually gotten better) and coming in at the same age Dantley is the quicker and stronger of the two but Granger has him him beat in the all important JMP rating.
Not expecting all-star level play from Danny Granger but I don't need that from him. If at his peak he can give me 18 PPG - 4-5 APG - 7 RPG - 1.5 SPG on good efficiency then I think he's a successful #14 pick.
If Danny Granger never becomes much of a defender I think the guy that I grabbed at #27 more than makes up for it. Tony Allen is one of 6 players I had with A PRD potential in the draft (Lebron James, Andre Iguodala, James Posey, Carlos Delfino, Josh Howard being the other 5). He's only a C / B / B / C on defense but I figure it's easier to turn a stellar defensive player into a capable offensive player than vice versa. I definitely considered the offense of Ben Gordon but honestly I feel you can get those type of guys in Free Agency while potential elite defenders aren't as readily available. I was telling San Fran when we were at like pick 20 I wanted one of Jason Terry, Ben Gordon, James Posey (damn you Seattle), and Tony Allen so i'm happy with who I got here. Oh and his A- JMP rating helped me choose him over some of the other options. If both he and Granger pan out then that's a respectable wing duo athletically. Really don't know what type of statline to expect from him but I have a feeling he could be a little of everything guy with high quality defense.
Niko is a wildcard pick for me and will definitely have to develop some more before he sees any minutes on my roster. But I like the idea of a 7 footer that can space the floor as well as rebound the ball. I've made the B PSD | C BLK | C STL setup work before with Dan Issel and more recently Tyrone Hill. He actually reminds me of rookie pre draft Tyrone Hill and better 3PS. Thought while he wasn't the "obvious" pick to make, he was the pick that could end up developing into something more valuable than anyone left on the boards. Won't lie and say he was my first option at this pick because my 4 of my first options went off the board in the 6 picks before him but this is what I meant about liking the depth this draft had. I compare his potential to Antwan Jamison's who I gave up for him and am still happy with this deal.
Final pick was Carlos Delfino who again wasn't my first option but should be solid bench depth in the future. Another one of the A PRD potential players in the draft. He wasn't super high on my list for the blue rated prospects but i'll take him since I personally feel he was BPA here. Would've liked 1-2 guys to slip but if he reaches his PRD potential I could have some really solid defenders on the wings which is something my team has lacked (which is why i've been known to give up a lot of 3s. So I love my first round picks and i'm satisfied with my 2nd round picks. I won't go crazy by saying A+ or A but I definitely think I fall in the draft winners category so i'll go B.
