So how did you team do in Round 1?
Even if you made no pick you made a move so tell us how you feel about that move.
Brag it up.

I got a really old guy who can't defend, rebound, or pass, and he makes a fuck ton of money, but he can shoot. I suppose we're going for the win-it-all-the-first-year method. Bring it on, league. The snake order should help us out a lot since I should be able to either get a solid #2 scoring option to go along with Bergmann, or a big man.

None of the pieces I had hoped would drop to me at 17 did, so I settled for the PG I wanted to build around for a win-now run in Bianci.

Did better then I expected to with 28 getting Frank Selvy. Problem is that I hate building for the future, but I don't know if there is enough older talent to try and win now at the end of the 1st round. We'll see

Got Wilt and Bailey Howell. Two great building blocks for this team, I'm happy.

I got Gennadi Volnov. Given his age, talent, and potential he is a very good pick but also given he is a no namer makes him a gamble. Im not exactly sure how to gauge this yet.

He's certainly not a no namer but yes he's not an NBA player. Probably a huge steal. Doesn't facilitate much so you may need a ball handler/distributor.

He will be a Moscow life-er. Just googled him.. Russian! Hahaha but yes he is not really a distributor. He has potential hands but Im definitely not upset about getting him.

Not sure to be honest, Ended up with Beckman which was who I was expecting, had a couple bigmen I was looking at who maybe I could of had instead but lets see.
The ratings seem to be different than what I was looking at on the free agent list though?

I had thought I was going to get lucky and have either Boozer, Groza, Lovelette or Volnov but all of them were scooped up right before me. With that being said, I think Ray Felix is a good foundation that allows me to go in a few directions with my second pick.

I was torn between Groza and Volnov and went with Groza...He seemed more ready, and loved his rebounding, and solid defense. That being said, I lost the whole day and way too many hours of my free time to try to get into the 1st or 2nd round. Whole thing fell apart, so I may have rushed things by dealing picks, but it was also a gut move, since I moved them to a GM that isnt a part of the great ABCA core, so Im hoping they will translate into something.

If you have the game trust your own scouts. They are set up to help you picks players suites for your style of play.

I voted 9.
At first I was upset. I tried to move up to 3 and 7 only to have Elgin fall to the pick before me where he was taken by Corey. Right then I would have given my draft a 5. I was looking to trade out but no one was willing.
So I picked a young, defensive minded, great at rebounding PF in Bob Boozer.
His game fits my GM style of play to a T. He's 20 and ill have him locked in for years. Good pick!

Thought I was going to get Gennadi Volnov, but unfortunately he went about 6 picks earlier. Had very little desire to pick someone and discussed trade with Detroit, but ultimately decided to plunge in and draft somebody. Wanted someone young and looked for point God's, saw zero young PGs with star talent, and then chose the big man I thought may turn out to become a good player. Radivoj Korac looks to be a poor man's Lamarcus Aldridge (maybe?) so maybe it's a good pick...

I went with a nine.
To get a player like Arizin at the end of the first is a big plus for us.

Was able to select 2 players in the first who are young and look to be future studs. Appears I have driven myself into an instant rebuild and still have my 2013 1st.

There are a couple of teams "rebuilding" a lot harder than you. I think you have good talent (young too) and probably a late lotto pick in this draft right now.

Hard to tell after ONE day though. I know a lot of people here don't know me but I am the type of GM to unleash 3 to 4 trades in a matter of minutes! Just ask Prez or anyone from AvN.
