Something else Seer would do... LOL You must really miss me. Actually, league is much more fun when you're around. You should come back when you have time and there is a team available!!

Quoted for truthiness or a +1 you decide I don't even remember who this "SEER" fellow is, but he sure pops up a lot for someone with no team...

I looked it up on Urban dictionary. "SE-ER (v) - to projectile vomit while in a chat room (and typically not clean it up)"

So - the committee has been looking at curbing tanking for seasons now. We've debated a lot of options and we've settled on a new policy. Starting next season ( not this draft) the bottom 3 teams will be ineligible to pick in the Top 3. Only teams prelotto ranked 4-16 can jump into picks 1, 2, and 3. CLARIFICATION - "The 3 worst records (regardless of who owns the pick) are prevented from getting into the Top 3" We'll see how that goes for a while. So I don't really know the program well - can you explain in more detail how this works? Do you run the lotto then just move the three worst team to 4 5 6 ? Or does the game allow you to disqualify those three and it runs the top 3 of the lotto without them? (or is that the same thing?) I'm just foggy on what the actual process will look like

I'm just foggy on what the actual process will look like HR showed me how to move the picks around. I'll run the order with another program that can handle the new percentages (which I will get by loading up a 29 team league) and then reorder them as needed. I may end up running the order with the 29 team league annually - we'll see what's easier.

Cool thanks - so just to be clear, lotto is run with correct percentages for 29 teams, it's run for the top 3 as normal, then the worst three get slotted right behind at 4 5 6 right? There's no way the top 3 picks move any lower than 4 5 6 in order of record correct? Sorry to be redundant but this impacts 2 of my picks likely so I'm trying to understand it as best I can

Right.
The only possible change to that would be with expansion and slotting in those new picks. Since it hasn't come up we haven't had to deal with it.

This isn't a bad idea, but I would have liked to see it limited to the top two picks. The top three seems a bit drastic. Either way, it should change the way people rebuild. Limits extreme tanking. Or at least makes it less fruitful.

BUMP. I stickied this so that it remains at the top of this board for the time being.
