So what if he does care what people think?
I think this was the right move for him.

SO over joyed right now........
It was crushing when he left because of one thing......him not saying that he was looking at his options then deciding to move on. Clevelanders are used to stars leaving because we can pay the top dollar or don't have the market of a Miami, NYC, LA. etc
this was different a local guy saying he wanted to win for the city and fans and then poof gone.....Man i would not have wanted to be him in the decision yr. the weight of a sports state on only your shoulders...
welcome back and we love you LBJ!

Pretty surprised it's only a 2 year deal. Why not get a 4 year deal with an opt out clause after 2?

I get that...but with an opt out clause he accomplishes the same thing. He can still become a FA. With a 2 year deal, if he has a serious injury, he's screwed.

Yeah, it's the TV deal.
It's assumed he'll sign a longterm deal then and probably retire in CLE.

So the coach is saying he won't move Wiggins.... so I'm guessing hes gonna play at the 2?

So the coach is saying he won't move Wiggins.... so I'm guessing hes gonna play at the 2? Sounds good to me. Wiggins ideally should play the 3 down the line as he's built somewhat like Paul George, but he should be more than fine there in his first season or two. He's lanky and obviously quick enough to play it. But for now, he won't be doing too much other than running the corners for either open 3s or cuts, and playing solid defense. Keep in mind, as well, the Cavs will probably play LeBron at the 4 a little just like Miami, so Wiggins will see some time at the 3. I'm also curious to see how LBJ and Bennett can play together. They should be able to complement each other quite well.

Being from Cleveland and being a fan of all their teams, it has been rough. I have learned to like fantasy football more than my browns over the year bc the let downs start to make u numb to it. As for the cavaliers I am so stoked right now. He is also the best pick up all off season for my browns.I now have a babysitter for Johnny Manziel.let's see if that makes a difference.

Manziel will bust but you'll really like Love's game.

Love is a guy that I wish minny would keep. He is one of the top players in the league and only 25 years old. What I fail to understand is this he. Wants to play in his home state. Lbj playes two seasons and will leave. Love will get a max offer and he will then be on a bvad cleveland team when lbj Is gone.

LBJ isn't leaving in two seasons.
He signed that because in two years there's a new TV deal looming and he make more by re upping with them then. I'd bet 100 bucks he retires in CLE.

Shit is so corny and cheesy. This shows he cares about what people think of him a lot more then he let's on. I have no idea what this even means.. From a PR standpoint, it's genius. Especially the tasteful way it was done. From a basketball standpoint, he picked the better supporting cast and a roster with the assets to get even better quickly. From a family/life perspective, it's home. He said he left to win titles and he did. He also acknowledges the mistakes of how he left. I get that he rubs people the wrong way. But I'll never understand Lebron hate. From how he plays the game to how he behaves on/off the court he's pretty damn close to the 'ideal' pro athlete... Considering he's been in the spotlight since grade 8 it's unbelievable that he hasn't messed up more/worse

Considering he's been in the spotlight since grade 8 it's unbelievable that he hasn't messed up more/worse My hate was never about the man or the player but simply leaving home. His 'essay' to the public answered a lot of those questions for me about growing up (sometimes we need to get away to do so) and securing a title or two (Cle was in a vicious cycle of mediocre talent (like what Minny did around KG) and part of that was his fault for teammates he wanted). Either way, I've always said he's about as good of a role model as you could draw up and the NBA is in great hands (with him and KD and even some young future stars who seem to do the right things).

I'd guess a starting lineup of Irving Waiters Bron Thompson Varejao.. Waiters shooting/scoring seems to make more sense right now. Bring Wiggins off the bench at the 2 and 3. A bench unit of Wiggins and Bennett should be great if summer league is an indication of Bennett's potential now that he's healthy. Starting Wiggins and Lebron beside each other seems like an issue unless Wiggins shooting is much better than advertised. We'll also see lots of Irving Waiters Wiggins Bron Whoever which will be fun.

I really hope they don't give up Wiggins and Bennett for Love. That's a mistake IMO. Also the Love thing isn't happening anytime soon. Wiggins is signing his contract today which makes him untradeable for 30 days.
