Since we have so many movie buffs here maybe they can turn me onto some good stuff hidden amongst everything. Leave good movies, what you liked, etc. Share the love
I just saw that they added the 30 for 30 Bo Knows episode. I suggest any youngins who did not get to grow up watching Bo to spend an hour of your day with it. Absolute freak. Shame he got hurt, he may have been good enough to be a Hall of Famer in 2 different sports.
Other then that I think the last movie I watched was "Jeff who lives at home" staring Jason Segal. I enjoy alot of his work, especially Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I found Jeff to be good, but I think I went in expecting more.
I also just watched the top 100 WWE RAW moments and it was fun. #1 was Austin beer bath, but they also did have the Milk Truck moment near the top also so I was happy. It was worth it if you're a wrestling fan. It'll make you realize that the current product sucks more

The Good, the Bad, and the Weird if you like action/westerns.
Get going on Fringe, that's a rad show!
A lot of great 30 for 30s.
I'll drop more movies down the road.

I've enjoyed most of the 30 for 30 movies, but loved the Bo Jackson one.
I may take up Bones on Netflix. Caught a few episodes on TV the other day but never gave it the time of day.

"Safety Not Guaranteed" has been mentioned in the movies thread here (or the old ABCA board?) and it is worth checking out if you haven't seen it. I also liked "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" -- an old flick where Leonardo DiCaprio does a hell of a job portraying a handicapped boy.
Those are the only two I watched during my (recently canceled) 4 month subscription. Waiting for the new season of AD to subscribe again.

Juro Dreams of Sushi is a bad ass documentary about one of the best Sushi places in the world and how crazy serious they take their job.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is a very good documentary.
If you dig that there are a lot of stupendous documentaries on Netflix I could recommend.
Also couldn't agree more with Tevin. I really liked Safety Not Guaranteed.
Some of my other favorite (more recent) films are Brick, The Lookout, Midnight in Paris, The Prestige, Son of Ranbow, The Darjeerling Limited, Fantastic Mr Fox, Speed Racer (gotta be HD), Taqwacores, Infernal Affairs, The Vanishing (not the US version with Keifer), Incendies, and Poetry.
I dunno, that's a good place to start. Let me know if you like/dislike any of those and I can branch off from there.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is on Netflix Instant? I still haven't seen that.
When I'm sick and bed-ridden, I have a tradition of watching wrestling documentaries on Netflix. I've watched nearly every top 100 list they offer, and am reduced to a yelling mess by the end. Some of them are so bad.

Brick is awesome. I watched it one time and then bought it when I seen it in a $5 bin at Walmart a while back. I think it gets better the more you watch it. You can get the lingo down pretty decent.

Brick is a fantastic film...it was one of the first films that really put Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the map as a future star to watch.
I literally have over 300 films in my queue right now on Netflix (many I've seen before and I like to have around in case I want to check them out again), so there is really something there for anyone. My kids love the Disney classics (Pocahontas, The Aristocats, Dumbo, etc), there are tons of classic horror films (White Zombie, I Bury the Living), plus recently most if not all the James Bond films have reappeared (skip anything with Roger Moore, go with Goldfinger, Thunderball, On Her Majesty's Secret Service)
I just finished rewatching the 1939 classic version of Young Mr. Lincoln with Henry Fonda...definitely worth watching for classic film fans.

Agreed with everyone else. Brick is an awesome movie. Like a modern day film noir. I was ecstatic when I saw it for sale at FYE a few months back. I've watched it at least 7 times.

Yeah Im around that. 1/2 my choice 1/2 me showing it to people. I love the part when hes running from the guy with the boots and the blade. Such an awesome filming sequence and very very cool with the only sounds coming from their shoes. Im probably going to have to watch it soon now that we are talking about it haha.

I first saw it on HBO. There was nothing on and it was the middle of the night. The movie sounded interesting and I remembered JGL from 3rd Rock from the Sun so I figured I'd give it a shot. It blew my mind.

People still buy DVDs? I thought everybody had a blu-ray player at this point. I always like to laugh at the thought of going back to DVD. Spoiled.

Haha well DVDs are $5 these days and they work in my Xbox and DVD players are like $15 as opposed to $20 and $100 from bluray. I won't get a ps3 either.

While I love a nice Blu-ray for newer films, do I really need Blu-rays for films from the 30s and 40s? You can only digitally remaster a film so far from the original source material...

Fair enough with classics. I guess I meant more of the new release stuff that there is no reason to not enjoy it at its best. Moscow- Man up and get a PS3 like the rest of us!

I'll still grab some season sets on DVD versus Blu Ray. Some series I watch just aren't a big enough deal to pay the extra but stuff like Game of Thrones need to be enjoyed on BR

Just didn't look like my kind of flick

Since AD Season 4 came up in another thread, I was wondering if anyone else has checked out any of Netflix other original programming lately. I have checked out a few episodes of Orange is the New Black, and it is actually pretty good, but I have yet to check out Hemlock Grove and House of Cards in-depth. Anyone have any reviews of either yet?
